The Dominican Sisters of Houston is a Catholic community of women whose mission is "to publicly commit ourselves to study and address the crucial justice issues of our times." The sisters' active ministries include teaching and school administration, prayer, campus ministry, parish ministry and others.
This stained glass window is located in the chapel of St. Dominic Villa on the motherhouse grounds. The design depicts followers of Saint Dominic; both men and women, through the centuries. Those with facial features represent followers canonized by the Church while the remainder repesent all Dominicans, religious and laity, preachers of Truth, who have entered and partnered in the mission.
